My name is Anna, and I’m the creator of The Getaway Journals. What started as a small travel blog to share my love of writing and travel has since grown into an online travel resource that includes everything from travel guides to customized itinerary planning. To get to know me a little better, here are a few fun facts!
• I am a travel advisor who can help you plan your own getaways. Which is perfect because I am one of those travelers who loves planning a trip almost as much as the trip itself. Every trip I go on has a spreadsheet and hours of research behind it, and I wanted to bring that level of planning to others!
• I’m big on checklists. I make checklists for everything – packing, things I need to get done before a trip – you name it, I have a checklist for it.
• I currently live in Columbus, OH.
• I don’t really fall into one category of travel. I enjoy hiking a mountain as much as I love sitting on a beach. I love big cities as much as I love the desert. I love local culture as much as I love cheesy tourist stuff.
• My first trip out of the country was when I was 13 for some mission work, and I fell head over heels in love with travel.
• I take at least one disposable camera with me on every trip.
