Like I always say, I am one of those travelers who enjoys the research and planning part of the trip almost as much as the trip itself. And while my articles help provide insight into what destinations have to offer, my assistance and expertise can go a step further as your travel advisor.

Never worked with a travel advisor before? Let me walk you through it:

• Think of me like your personal travel concierge for before, during, and after your trip.
• In the event of unavoidable disruptions, I will be on hold with whoever I need to be on hold with—you’re still on vacation after all!

FAQ: I’ve never worked with a travel advisor before. Can you walk me through everything step-by-step?

Sure thing!

• Step One: Send me an email or submit a contact form.
• Step Two: I’ll be in touch with a quick questionnaire about your trip or trip idea.
• Step Three: Once you submit your questionnaire, I will be in contact with you about next steps.
• Step Four: Let me take care of the details! I’ll be your travel resrouce before, during, and after your trip.

FAQ: Why is one option free and the other options cost money?

This is because as a travel advisor, I only make a commission on certain things such as hotel bookings and tours. I make my money from the places I book, at no cost to you (kind of like when you buy something through an affiliate link). I do not earn commission on things like show tickets, dining reservations, etc. So while I am happy to do that research and plan those things for you, there is a fee associated with that additional work to ensure I am compensated fairly.

FAQ: Is there anything you CAN’T book?

I prefer not to book flights because of the chain of communication. If a flight is delayed or canceled, it’s essential for updates to go directly to you rather than relayed through me, ensuring you have the most accurate and immediate information. I am more than happy to help you choose flights, but the booking should always be through your account.

I also cannot book anything using any type of “points”.

FAQ: Why use a travel advisor when I could book this stuff myself?

There’s lots of reasons to use a Travel Advisor! Here are a few:

• It’s free! Having a travel advisor is a no-cost service that helps you get more value for your vacation.
• So you can focus on your vacation! In the event of unavoidable disruptions, I will be on hold with whoever I need to be on hold with—you’re still on vacation after all!
• As a travel advisor, I also have access to Preferred Perks Programs. Certain hotels will offer complimentary upgrades or perks like early check-in to keep our clients happy and to keep them on our radar of partners who go above and beyond for our clients.
• I am also an experienced traveler myself with extensive knowledge (and resources) at my fingertips.
• Plus I realize that while I love the hours of research and planning that go into a trip, that not everyone does.
